Born in Connecticut, Jessica Acuna moved to Austin in 2003. Starting out as a greeting card/invitation designer, the Creative Chick (Jessica) was always fascinated with the patterns, colors and beauty of paper. After the n-teenth time of saying "I wish I could wear that pattern!", Creative Chick Designs Jewelry was born. With creativity in her genes (father is an amazing artist), there are always lots of new designs brewing!

Bezel Set Jewelry

Every piece in the Bezel Set Collection is handmade with care and precision. Each pattern is hand selected, cut and mounted in a sterling silver or gold-filled bezel.  The piece is then coated and sealed with resin for ultimate wearability and water resistance. 

Wood Core Jewelry

The pieces in the Wood Core Collection are light as a feather (well...a piece of balsa wood) yet incredibly durable.  Each necklace, earring and bracelet is hand crafted by carefully selecting and hand cutting a specific section of paper for ultimate beauty.  The paper is then mounted on a thin piece of wood (earrings are double sided) and then sealed for a perfect, shiny finish.

Paper Selection

Creative Chick Designs uses various types, styles, and patterns of paper.  From Florentine prints to Japanese origami paper, each piece is chosen with an artists eye.  Due to the handmade nature of our jewelry, there may be slight variations in patter or color.  This variation adds to the uniqueness of the jewelry.
